Washington Wage Payment Timing Requirements

Employers in Washington must comply with these state rules regarding the timing and frequency of wage payments.

In Washington wages due must be paid at no longer than monthly intervals to each employee on established regular pay days.

However, wages for no more than the last seven calendar days may be withheld from the pay period covered for inclusion in the next pay period for bookkeeping purposes.
