The use of lie detector tests by employers in Minnesota is subject to these state rules.
An employer may not directly or indirectly solicit or require a polygraph, voice stress analysis or any test purporting to test the honesty of an employee or prospective employee.
In addition, it is prohibited for a person to sell to or interpret for an employer a test that the person knows has been solicited or required by an employer to test the honesty of an employee or prospective employee.
