Employers in Kentucky must conform with these state rules relating to the employment of minors.
Employers must obtain from an employee proof of age that the employee is at least 18 years of age.
Upon request, the local board of education through its superintendent or other authorized agent must issue an employment certificate of age upon presentation of proof of age to any minor under the age of 18 desiring to enter employment.
Employers must keep records of their minor employees, including the employees' names, ages and addresses.
