A summary of Delaware laws relating to weapons and conduct that impact workplace violence.
It is unlawful to carry a concealed deadly weapon without a license in Delaware. However, even with a license, a concealed weapon may not be carried in a Safe School and Recreation Zone; in a vehicle owned, operated, leased or rented by a public or private school, college or university; or in any government owned, operated, leased or rented recreation center, athletic field or sports stadium.
A Safe School and Recreation Zone is any building, facility, field, sports stadium or real property owned, operated or leased by a public or private kindergarten, elementary or secondary school, vocational technical institute, college or university or within 1,000 feet of one of these places.
The prohibition about carrying concealed weapons in a Safe School and Recreation Zone does not apply to private residences located within the zone.
